Teens should be allowed to choose their health choices when evidence supports their choice. Parents should have the legal right to protect their children, but they should not be allowed to harm their children. Perhaps the state should be diplomatic and attempt to persuade the parent using independent studies instead of forcing their power over the legal rights of the parent. That could escalate into an armed stand off. If the parent is unreasonable and insists on harming their child, the state should defend the teen's legal right to choose a healthy choice.

Parents who do not vaccinate their children must be penalized.
