I think they just do this to say he had training but if he did in fact have to eject, i think we call all agree, he is a dead man!

I love the casual routine to do the manual ejection. What about the hundreds of knots airspeed and G-forces if the aircraft is out of control in some way. Its a long way down I know but it is all a bit too much for a one off just jealous)

this makes me laugh. if you pulled that scramble handle in the cockpit it would most likely kill you. there is a seat/man separator built into that seat that when the scramble handle is pull will fling you away from the seat. they call it "the kick in the ass" it will literally throw you out of the seat. doing that in the cockpit would throw you into the controls in front of you. not a good idea.
