Anderson Cooper actually isn't all that tough an interviewer. He's genuinely just asking questions, relatively basic, direct questions that anyone sane and reasonable should be able to handle...Oh I see the problem.

I thought he'd show the part where she said she wouldn't go to the casinos because she has a family at home. Implying it wouldn't be safe to go home after being in a casino...but it's okay for the workers? 🤔

At one point, Cooper tries to ask her (and keeps trying) if she has any plans to help increase testing and tracking for the virus, even pointing out that scientists say that being able to test for and track the virus is the best way to get it under control (and thus be able to reopen businesses). Her response? Some rambling about NUCLEAR testing! WTF...


She also volunteers Las Vegas as a "control group" and when Cooper, stunned, asks her if she's really offering the citizens of Las Vegas as a control group, she cuts him off and tells him he's "putting words in <her> mouth". (Which seems to be her go-to response when he parrots back her own damning words to her.)

Reopening casinos without any tourists ready to book a trip there for months to come seems to be beyond useless & stupid. Or does she think the bulk of gamblers is made up of Las Vegas citizens ?

Goodman isn't even Mayor of the Strip, or even the majority of the Las Vegas Valley. The City of Las Vegas, which she is mayor of, lies north of the strip, encompassing downtown and the north west corner of the Las Vegas Valley. The Strip is in an unincorporated community of Clark County called Paradise. It has no mayor, no first responders of its own and no schools of its own. It's governed by the county, which provides those services for it.

She can't do shit.

That said, I just found out I actually live right inside the city, instead of outside it like I previously thought and I'm horrified that she asked if I could be a guinea pig.

Edit: please make more memes and roast this idiot to oblivion. Make her into the example of what happens when you advocate for lifting restrictions too soon so other leaders will be too scared to follow her lead.
