Samsung Galaxy S23+ is the middle child in the Galaxy S23 lineup and it also has an interesting price point. But out of all three of them it's probably my favourite. Hopefully this review helps you make a decision on which Galaxy S23 to get.

Coming from the S10. I tried all the S23 phones in a store and money wasn't an issue.
I ended up getting the S23+ cause of the bigger battery compared to the regular S23. And the regular S23 was smaller compared to the S10 I had and I didn't want to get a smaller phone.
I would love to get the S23 Ultra cause of the better zoom but damn that phone was huge. The corners are not rounded as well which makes it really uncomfortable for me to use.
My only complaint I have with the S23+, is like you said, the resolution should be higher. I noticed the difference since my S10 had a higher resolution. I got used to it after a while, and from a normal distance you can't tell, but if you hold the phone closer sometimes you can see that icons and text are not as sharp.
For me, my dream phone is for Samsung to pack all of the hardware of the Ultra (except the stylus) into the body of the + variant.

Just purchased the s23 plus. I find it to be the right size in screen and weight. It’s flat screen, thin body and design makes it even better to enjoy. I’m loving the battery life on it - I don’t think I’ve ever had a Samsung battery this good in a S series ever. Good job Samsung 👍🏽

$999 for the Plus is ridiculous. Probably just wait a few months for it to be like $799 or something. I think that's the price it should be at.

Main reason I got the S23 plus is for the flat display! I absolutely hate curve display on phones! 💯

I got lucky and took advantage of the pre-order deal they had where I traded in my OnePlus 8T for it. Not only that, but they offered a free upgrade, so rather than the 256GB model, I got bumped up to the 512GB one. Best deal I ever took!!!

I upgraded from the S20+ to the S23+. I play a lot of Pokemon Go so the battery improvements are huge. I don't care much about the resolution of the display - I'd be running it at 1080p anyway like I did with the S20+ if it did have a 1440p display. I do like the increased brightness. The S20+ display would dim after a few minutes due to heat while playing Pokemon Go outside in the summer so I hope the S23+ can be better. Cameras are better, but I'd like Samsung to focus on things like shutter speed and reducing the shutter lag in the app/hardware. The fingerprint reader is noticeably better. The charging speed is great, but I have one of those cables that shows PD charge wattage and it doesn't use the full 45W a lot of the time. Battery life now is great but I'm more concerned about how well it will hold up in 2-3 years from now. Overall I'm happy though Tik Tok gives me ads and sponsored posts on the new phone that I didn't get on the S20+. So that is weird.

Thanks for the video. Got 3 of these plus models via preorder with 512gb storage which was just as important as a larger battery, but the 45w charging is equally as important. You cant get 512, or 45w or the larger battery on the regular model. The plus was absolutely worth it. And 512 was no extra charge during preorder. Has held up great of course with a screen protector and case from day 1. Will be interesting to see trade in values after 2 years.

Regarding the "Moon Faking" scene, I don't really see a problem in that. I mean if you use the 100X zoom for normal far distant photos, it's pretty much THE BEST and very clear (one of my friends recently bought one so it's the experience speaking), and more or less, every company always does some or the other kind of tweaking to their photography in the devices or else every phone camera would have the same exact type of photo, right?
Keeping that aside, I honestly think the S22+ is a great phone for a mid-size handset, quiet handy and easy to navigate as well..!!✌️

Snapdragon 8 gen 2 is a godsend! I got the S23 Plus and its absolutely brilliant, with Protect Battery feature on (limits battery charge to 85%) i can easily get 5-6 hours SOT with 15% left, I use my phone A LOT during commutes. Previously i had the smol S22, could only reach 3h SOT with full battery lol, 3h30 during lazy days where i mostly watch TV or on the computer

I bought my s23+ last week, believe me, I'm enjoying it.

I totally agree this phone should get a higher res display. I would also say it's not about noticing pixels. For me it's about having fonts that are sharp. In S23+ some fonts were having green/yellow color around edges. It's not something you're gonna notice right away, but after some time with the phone you realize something is slightly off ;) I believe it might not bother most people. Also the way how it affects you is dependent on what kind of tasks you do with the phone.

I got the S23+, like you say, it feels much more confortable on hands. Anyway i hate curved screens so this was an easy decision (and saved 300 euros).

Using my S23+ for 3 weeks.
Normally I'm getting 9-9.5 hours SoT and it still has 20-30%

I actually don't mind the resolution that much. It would have been nice if they upgraded it over the s23 but I don't really mind it. I genuinely don't notice the pixels at all unless I put my face right up to the screen which I would never do under any circumstances other than peeping pixels to nitpick. I don't notice it on text, pictures, or anything. Normal viewing distances basically make it retina. At least for me. Still, would have been nice to have that QHD screen the Ultra has.

The thing I do notice is the camera. I really regret not getting the Ultra for that alone. The camera on the Ultra is just amazing. I used my brother's phone and took a few snaps with it and OH MY F-ING GOD was it amazing. Now, the camera on the plus is not horrible by any means but the zoom and night shooting on the Ultra is just way better. The twin telephoto lenses really make your landscape photos have a nice, professional look to them. Is it going to replace a dedicated DSLR for most actual photography nerds? No... we're not there just yet. It is a nice addition for people like me who don't really care and just want a good camera in our pocket at all times. Admittedly though, I use my smartphone camera maybe once a month tops... So...

Basically, everything else between the Ultra and Plus is just meh... The added ram is pointless for most people. I don't think 99% of people will ever use the extra 4gb of ram the Ultra has. The tiny increase in battery size is negligible. The screen, like I said, is a little better but not noticeable for most people. The stylus is really cool but is it worth the extra size, weight, and cost of buying an Ultra over a Plus? Probably not for most people.

I do think moving from the s23 to the Plus isn't the biggest leap but you do get some noticeable benefits for your 200$. The extra battery size is super noticeable, the extra screen size is nice, and the storage increase is much needed. At this point, 256gb is a minimum for me. I'd much rather 512 or 1tb if I'm being honest.

If you take lots of pictures and videos, get the Ultra. It's just a better camera that happens to have a phone attached to it. If you have tiny hands and can't hold the Ultra, you'll want the Plus or the regular s23 (Another reason I went with the Plus). If you are broke, get the s23. If you have issues with keeping your phone charged up, get the Ultra or the Plus. If you use your phone for business and need to sign off on things digitally, get the Ultra. If you just want the best screen possible, get the Ultra. If you don't care about the camera and the screen resolution isn't a deal breaker, get the Plus.

That's my 2 cents.

Have the S23 Plus, love it. The pre-order bonus storage makes the price a little bit understandable. Without it, better wait for the price to come down a little.

So the S22+ should have a QHD display but it's OK for the Pro Max to not?

I'm trading in a one month old Pixel 6A for the S23+. I was using an S9+ before the Pixel. Yes, the pixel is much cheaper. It was on sale for $200. The problem is, the screen doesn't always come out of sleep mode without my having to use a button on the side to wake it up. The keep notes is terrible. Also have problems trying to transfer pictures from the phone to a computer. The 6A doesn''t always allow you to switch to transfer without shutting the phone off, then restarting. My Samsung S9+ had much better software, and it was years older.
My service company had a sale on the S23+ for $600 off, so it cost me less than $400 with trade in. That was a no brainer. I hate the bloatware Samsung has, but it's a much more usable phone.

Kinda agree on the QHD at $999. Yes FHD is fine but QHD would have made this much better deal.
