Trump on Kamala Harris: 'I Didn't Know She Was Black'

Republican nominee Donald Trump questioned Vice President Kamala Harris’ racial identity at a contentious roundtable with Black journalists, fumbling an attempt to reach out to voters of color. #trump #harris #kamalaharris #nabj

Trump responded to a question about GOP attacks casting Harris as a “DEI” hire, referring to diversity, equity and inclusion, by raising her Indian ancestry. Harris is the daughter of Indian and Jamaican immigrants.

“I didn’t know she was Black until a number of years ago, when she happened to turn Black, and now she wants to be known as Black,” Trump said Wednesday at the National Association of Black Journalists convention in Chicago.

1) Attending an HBCU and being an AKA doesn't make you Black. Neither of those acts require you to be Black.
2) They're laughing because they believe the same thing about her, it's comical that she can change her stripes when it's convenient and so many are willing to over look it.
3) She hasn't "always identified as Black", matter of fact, she's never openly said she's Black. However, she has openly identified herself as Indian for many years (on record).
