The 93 from 2003 to early 2007 (and I've had 3)
Had saab fibre optic system
This made it difficult to upgrade your head unit to a more modern one. It also made the trionic control system very fussy.
The later 93 from late 2007 on, did away with this system, a very good move.
Rear suframe has a tendancy to corrode, headlight leveling system has a tendancy to seize, then snap.
The later lights come in two variants, both have led strips
One has xenon one has hid.
The ballasts on the hid don't allow led main light with resistor upgrade.
The xenon do.
Trionic 8 pulses voltage to on board systems, even when it's switched off and parked. This throws an led intermittent flash, unless you buy ones canbus compliant.
It has its quirks, but,
It's a tuneable rock solid car
With great looks and endurance,
And
Everyone might want one.

I read an interesting thing about SAABs. Based solely on the test drive, you are more likely to buy a SAAB than any other vehicle.
I owned a 1987 9000 Turbo and the ergonomics were very, very good! The stickshift was perfectly positioned under your hand, the gauges were easy to read, the cargo area 9especially with the rear seats folded) was huge. It was easy on gas though I loved the _push_ of the turbo any chance I could get. In spite of only 160Ho, it could hit 141MPH. (I raced an Acura Integra to 115MPH in 4th gear with 5th gear ready...my car had over 230, 000 miles on the odometer!) I would love to have another pre-GM SAAB!!!

It's a real shame that they went out of business, because the brand had so much potential.

My Dad used to drive a Saab 9000. He remembers how reliable it was.

That's nice and dandy but...
My Aero is in the shop cause the fuel pump died without warning, also the fuel level sender is going to be replaced cause we don't want the fuel needle dancing.

The plastics are noisy.

The handbrake has disintegrated, I can't get a new one, not even esaab site cause I'm overseas and can't get a response. I will have to get a used "full assembly" handbrake handle in very good directly from Sweden at the same price of the rubber/plastic cover.

The window buttons are peeling off at the edges as well as the other buttons.

But other than that other problems too...
I love my Aero!!! I'll keep fixing and improving it.

I’m pretty sure Koenigsegg was going to buy Saab but they backed out at the last second. They could have made awesome Saabs.

My entire childhood was on the back of a SAAB 9000. My father loved these cars. We had 3 9000s in our family.
And my father still has this one, but it's rusted and It doesn't look good.
My mother also loved this car.
9000s were goated

Sorry but none of the what you have demonstrated in this video shows why Saab failed.

My 93 2.0T drives amazing and being the B207R it pulls very well with a stage 1 220bhp.

I have had many 93s now and love them.

No stupid ass driving modes.
Also that key insert is so cool. Different to anything else and almost fighter jet inspired ignition placement.

Unfortunately, they got too extreme about safety, etc and made their cars so expensive, they didn't make much money.
