I genuinely believe that if she removed all of the adults that were
abusive to her in any way she would have a chance to grow up and be her own person. She's still surrounded by people that she sees as the ultimate authority and idealises them/ seeks their approval. While she relies on them in making judgment about her own decisions and telling her if what she does ok/not ok she'll never be able to actually "grow up" and being stuck as a kid in an abusive family till you hit 40 is sad as hell.

Funny story! I'm a music teacher and I did a lesson on how musicians cover others to pay homage and my students asked me why Jojo was allowed to take the other singer's song down if Jojo didn't write it originally. I had to explain to these 10-year-olds that "some people have a lot more money and influence than others, and can get better lawyers."

They said "That's not right"

And I responded "you're right. It's not. It's terrible."
