Well, in Hinduism it is told to worship through the idol to God, an idol is the medium to worship God. It is never told that the idol (the statue of figure) is god itself. An idol is just a representation to visualise God in whatever way people want to. Imagining God in the form human shape help to human mind to pursue the almighty in an easier way. As God always have a personal relationship with an individual so it totally depends on the believer to think how the Almighty would look for him. God should always be for everyone and subjective for every individual 🙏


Edit: nobody is understanding what I want to convey. I wanna say a simple thing that we can worship God in whatever way we want. Even if anyone worship God as a human figure that will be nothing wrong as it's his/her way to worship God. *As since nobody around has actually seen God or knows what God look like or has touched God. Therefore we, given the limitations of our human imagination, need visualise God in a more accessible way* . *So if you want to imagine God as pot bellied man with a elephant head that's fine, you want to imagine god as a eight armed woman riding a tiger that's fine, too. And by the same logic if you want to imagine God as figure less and beyond our human imagination that's also find.* Worship God in whatever way you want that's up to you

*“They sink deeper in darkness those who worship sambhuti i.e. created things”*

Again I reiterate don't judge Hinduism from an Islamic perspective. Hinduism allows a wide range of different beliefs some even contradictory with the conclusion that all devotion leads to God.
From my perspective, the action of worship doesn't matter as much as the intention. If you worship an idol ( which is by the way not God but a representation of God ) but with clear intentions of devotion, it's much more than following rules of the religion but without faith and honesty.
