MSNBC’s Ali Velshi speaks to Harry Litman, a former U.S. Attorney, and Peter Strzok, a former deputy of the FBI's Counterintelligence Division, about details from the superseding indictment filed by Special Counsel Jack Smith in the Mar-A-Lago documents case and why the legal counsel Trump’s codefendants are getting may not be in their own best interest.

Why go to prison for a man who can't even recall your name .

Even if Trump doesn't go to jail, Nauta and the other guy are for sure. Poor saps.

Imagine those two thinking that this could work out well for them.

@Co defendant Carlos Oliviera. You should cooperate with feds. Like YESTERDAY! Your boss has a horrible track record of letting others get the blame. With promises of payment for legal fees, etc. your boss still hasn’t bailed out anyone arrested, that was involved in the battle on Capitol Hill.

A public defender would do a better job for these two guys than the Trump lawyers.

As per the Nuremberg doctrine, loyalty to the boss is not a defense.

Trump will throw them under the bus when the trial starts. "I never told them to move any boxes or erase recordings. I had no idea what they were doing." Then it's too late for them.

I really appreciate Peter Strock for being so kind about Nauta and DeOliviera. He is right....they probably aren't very sophisticated and have no comprehensive undetstanding of the mess they are in. Everything Trump touched dies...true words by Rick Wilson.Trump paying for their legal fees is sure trouble.

So when does that crime of deleting of information after you've been asked to keep it extend to the secret service regarding Jan 6 correspondence.

I agree that there is a real reason to worry about whether the 2 staff co-defendents are getting adequate legal representation.

I've trusted Peter Stroch from the get go. I can't say why exactly, but my intuition has never led me astray.

Not long ago we all thought Walt was just a dupe. The new info shows he was very involved in and lied about the boxes plan. He might not be able to get a good plea deal now. Maybe Smith doesn't need Walt to plead and wants him charged and punished.

For the life of me I can't understand why people continue to support this vile man, even throw their own lives away for him. It goes beyond mere human stupidity.
