Plyometrics: Not all jumps are created equal.

In sport you'll need to produce both vertical and horizontal forces, so it's important to train both forces during your rehab and training.

In the first video, with the hurdles close together, I need to produce more vertical force to get through the hurdles. In the second video, with the hurdles spaced wider apart, I need to produce more horizontal force to get through the sequence.

And just for fun, challenge your athletes by mixing up the distances the hurdles are apart (third video). Give them a try and see the difference in efforts required in the 3 different sequences.
