Today I had business in Akron Ohio and stopped in to tour their public library.

Here in Bloomington, Indiana, the Monroe County Public Library has many books by Joyce Carol Oates. Now I'm curious to see how many Stephen King books they have! If you're ever in town you might enjoy visiting the Lilly Library on the Indiana University campus. Much is not accessible without prior arrangements but they have displays open to the public. Nearby is the Herman B. Wells library, the main library on campus and it has maybe three million books though some have been moved to other locations. You won't be bored in any of these libraries!

I love how people assume that it's somehow illegal to film in a library or any other public space.

It's not.

A gentle reminder to security as well as police: a library is a public space. You have no expectation of privacy in public. (Security guards are generally ignorant of the law and are mostly enforcing their opinions and the feelings of others rather than enforcing any law).
