My mom lost 100lbs on weight watchers back in 2005 and has kept it off still to this day! It definitely works, because you focus your meals around zero point foods which are nutrient dense and build your meal from there. It completely changed how she eats.

It's about lifestyle change. I did calorie counting and felt like I was starving. Did weight watchers and have lost 22 pounds. Never feel like I'm starving. Unless you have a serious food addiction nobody is going to eat a meal like that just because its zero points. C'mon let's be realistic. Weight watchers works. Sorry but I totally disagree with this silly misconception.

I think the purpose of this diet isn't so much about calorie counting, it's about encouraging people to make healthy choices which then contributes to weight loss. People are encouraged to make healthy choices by saying the food is zero points. That isn't to say it's calorie free though but this way can be very helpful for people who don't want to strictly calorie count, but they do want encouragement to construct healthy meals

They tell you at meetings that you have to be careful with zero points and you are supposed to weigh them but chances are chicken and veggies aren’t what you overate to make you gain weight

You’re more likely to get full and satiated with the zero point foods. It really does work! I’m more likely to get full off twohard-boiled eggs and an apple then a half a bag of chips.

Actually, it makes perfect sense. But you didn’t think too hard about it, did you? WW doesn’t count calories, they count points. I would never eat all that food at one meal…that’s the whole idea. I get 41 daily points. Sometimes I have a few left over. I build my meals on zero point foods. I counted all the calories I ate over a week, around 1500-1600 calories a day. Counting calories sucks. This is easy. I didn’t feel hungry, because I was eating zero point food instead of the calorie dense crap I was eating before. I’ve lost 20 pounds since the end of December.

Literally left out the sentence that says zero point point foods are to build a foundation of a meal. There's a link that explains it. The app, community and coaches explain all this as well. Zero point foods are a base.

This video is very ignorant and spreading misinformation. Yes, popcorn is zero points when it’s PLAIN with no fats. Only chicken breast is zero points not the thigh or other dark meat. This zero point system establishes a healthy relationship with food because when I was calorie counting I would go crazy having to track the fruit and veggies I was eating even though I know they are so good for my body. Eggs are also an amazing food to enjoy! If you know you know but obviously this video shows those who don’t.

Ya because that lady is going to eat all that food in one sitting. That’s the point, she likely won’t. And as someone who has struggled with binge eating in the past, I can tell you that were I to shovel all that into my face, it would be half the calories of a regular junk food sitting.
If you actually get to a weight low enough that eating an extra serving of fat free Greek yogurt or blueberries is stalling your weight loss, then I guess you can reevaluate. But if you truly think these zero point foods are a problem, you REALLY missed the point.

This clearly demonstrates that calories is not the only factor in weight gain/loss. I've lots a lot from WW and I assure you... I eat ALL the time. Don't knock it til you try it.

This is a perfect example of not understanding obesity. Changing the mind and understanding that it’s okay to eat truly healthy foods. Raw fruits and vegetables are healthy for you.

WW is not for overeaters and volume eaters. I lost my weight on the Green Plan and was quickly gaining it back. I quit this new plan. I am tracking macros and calories and is shocked at my caloric deficit. No wonder I was gaining weight.
However WW taught me about food choices, mindset and a healthy lifestyle. Take from WW what works for you and ditch what doesnt.
