Mat Ryan - a competent goalkeeper who doesn’t mouth off and puts his head down. Who would have thought such a player would be with Arsenal at the moment!

Mat Ryan would prove to be a decent move in the long run. He is a perfect #2 GK option. He is decent. we need to loan / sell Runarson (I keep saying that is our worst signing of last year). Moreover he will improve Leno. I am pretty happy with this signing. Mat Ryan was an under utilized player last season and I feel he will have a better season with us next year if he signs.

Totally agree!! Leno is vulnerable and we need better. Arteta should have played Ryan more but having him on a freebie isn't bad providing he's a backup. Getting shot of Leno would be great so we can cash in on him to get someone better.

There were many opportunities this season for Arteta to give Ryan a game but didn't. But what I've seen so far he deserves a shot. I like how he commands his back 4. I'm not sure Leno has that level of communication with he's defence. What I also like about Ryan is he is a genuine Gooner. He was an Arsenal fan before he was a professional keeper so I think he's the type of guy who wants to be there just for the passion of playing for Arsenal. He feels an honour just to wear the badge and I think that's missing for a lot if not all of those players in the current team.

Good signing. Can’t have seen him making difference to our season last season. It wasn’t really our back end that was lacking against guys like Villarreal. It was the attacking end

Lol Leno okay as an Arsenal fan I would say Leno is too good for our club. Our club is mid table atm. Ryan offcourse he is good he had many appearance and on top he is Australian International btw.
