Modernized HT! Schindler 321A/MAD Hydraulic Elevator-Extended Stay America-Exton, PA

Now this was a strange mod! This was originally a Schindler 321A (with low pitched than upgraded to high pitched chimes), but it got modernized by Schindler with MAD. This is the first mod that I have ever seen on a Schindler HT. I rode this once when it was original in 2014 and Jon C had a video of it from 2016 and it was still original. This mod was done sometime between 2017 & 2019.

The door-operator & fan are definitely original. And I've never seen an HT modded by Schindler.

They could have simple refurbished the fixtures, but it is interesting how they kept the original motor and the HT chimes.

Nice motor though I will say. But I wonder why they needed to mod a HT. That door hold button is in a really weird place I got to say.

I’m gonna be honest here, that’s kind of bullshit, why would they modernize an HT, it’s still a newer type, I don’t understand why they would’ve modernized this
