Azmina this is ever so relatable! This is true across the boar for not just India but a lot of Africa. I've written something along these lines and for something of this nature to be in a platform of such large reception makes me ever so pleased because it isn't talked about enough but needs to be! wherever you are, if you get to read this, thank you very much

There are so many hushed female voices. Even when I come across something as earth shaking as this women's poetry reading, it ends up occurring to me how wide spread female oppression/abuse is across the globe, and yet how little female anger or resistance we hear - we have to look for it and hope we find something authentic and not just statistics.
