The book I’m reading right now; she was orphaned by her biological parents, her adoptive parents died when she was 17, she has tons of power that she doesn’t want, she’s beautiful but hates it, she has all the attention. Did I mention there is even a running joke in the book how many times she gets into trouble, she has almost died nearly 10 times 🫠 excluding the war. Is bonded to two brothers and is courting both of them, before she ran away she didn’t break up with her boyfriend she was going to court soon. But then he died. And did I mention one of the brothers had kidnapped her. Did I mention they were princes? One save her life. She is in favor of the gods and fates.

To be fair, I usually make my characters orphans because I truly have no idea how to write a healthy relationship between parents and children, and I don’t like abusive parent tropes
