About the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit

The Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) provides supportive care to 1400 infants, children and adolescents each year. Patients come to us with the entire spectrum of critical care problems. We manage all critical illnesses, including mechanical ventilation, mechanical support of the circulation, and support of organ systems.
