I’m a 67 year old Liberal Independent snd a Holocaust & Genocide scholar, and I have never, EVER, been so frightened for my country. I simply can’t ignore the history of post-WWI Germany and its descent from being the most culturally advanced country in the world to being responsible for another world war and the perpetration of the worst documented genocides in the history of the world, as a result of one man’s manipulation! I’m not only frightened I’m livid, and I know we can’t let ourselves wallow in such disenchantment and heartbreak and that we allow ourselves to sit back and watch our country and our constitution destroyed. We can’t sit back and watch minorities methodically marginalized, disenfranchised, and brutalized! We can’t sit back and watch our country regress to reduce or eliminate women’s rights & freedom! We cannot allow the morally corrupt destroy everything the American flag stands for and what our heroic military have fought and died for! We MUST prove that we aren’t fucking snowflakes…we must prove that we aren’t weak…we must prove that we can be a force to be reckoned with!

I will not be associated with anyone that voted for him. I tried to be civil with family and coworkers. That ended last night. When my in-laws voted against the bodily autonomy and medical safety of their daughter and granddaughter, yeah... that truly was the end for me.
