Singing while crying is probably the hardest thing a singer could do. Well done!

I never noticed this until I turned the sound up but when Daniel crosses that line and the quartet take that moment, Will does an AMAZING job helping pull Daniel back. You can hear him at 4:28 quietly give him the pitch to restart the process.

Unbelievable performance and teamwork.

Possibly the most moving barbershop performance ever. Simply stunning.

26 seconds of silence has never been so impactful.

That, my friends, is story telling.

Sitting in that theater the only other thing I heard during the last chord was the collective sniffling of everyone around me. Such a powerful performance.

I can see why this was the highest scoring chart of the contest. Total commitment to the lyrics, message, and music. Beautiful performance by Signature, a gold medal quartet in the making.

Newfangled Four brought me here, and I can see why one of their lyrics is "we'll never have the soul of Signature". This was a beautiful performance. Love both groups now.

Back when I was a child
Before life removed all the innocence
My father would lift me high
And dance with my mother and me
And then
Spin me around 'till I fell asleep
Then up the stairs he would carry me
And I knew for sure
I was loved

If I could get another chance
Another walk
Another dance with him
I'd play a song that would never ever end
How I'd love love love
To dance with my father again

When I and my mother
Would disagree
To get my way I would run
From her to him
He'd make me laugh just to comfort me
Yeah yeah
Then finally make me do
Just what my mama said
Later that night when I was asleep
He left a dollar under my sheet
Never dreamed that he
Would be gone from me

If I could steal one final glance
One final step
One final dance with him
I'd play a song that would never ever end
Cause I'd love love love to
Dance with my father again

Sometimes I'd listen outside her door
And I'd hear how mama would cry for him
I'd pray for her even more than me
I'd pray for her even more than me

I know I'm praying for much to much
But could you send her
The only man she loved
I know you don't do it usually
But Dear Lord
She's dying to dance with my father again

Every night I fall asleep
And this is all I ever dream

I found out this morning that my father had passed away from colon and liver cancer. This song hits home harder then any I’ve listened to. Thank you

Even though they didn't win the gold, this was a gold medal moment.

Listening to this 18 days after losing my mom to Parkinson's disease and seeing my dad doing his best to carry on without the woman he'd loved for 71 years and 137 days. It hits hard.

Why is no one talking about 4:47? Those notes and harmonies give me chills

The first barbershop performance to ever move me to tears. Thank you, Signature.

Every SINGLE time I listen to this performance, without fail, I start crying. You'd think after the 25th listen it'd get easier, but holy hell this performance just emanates emotion.

Wow... I’m assuming perhaps the lead singer’s father had recently passed? Because that was as much emotion as I’ve ever seen in a performance. Blown Away...

I was at that concert and I can honestly say that it was *the* highlight of the competition for me. We didn't have a choice: we all stood and clapped and shouted with tears in our eyes at the end. Bravo Signature! (And we felt so bad for the quartet that followed them!)

It's so precious and rare for a quartet to "go there", and far more rare still to be able to go on. To do it at International is nothing short of miraculous and priceless. Thank you Signature, for that gift of yourselves

My favourite part, 3:35 I know I'm prayin for much too much. Perfect.

I've always felt weird about Barbershop ballads. But like... holy shit... I literally sat at my desk absolutely bawling my eyes out during this performance. The first time thats ever happened to me with Barbershop. I'm shaking... that was sublime.

I saw this live and said to Daniel mentally, take all the time that you need. We are all with you. I cry each time I hear this song. Thank you Signature for such a wonderful memory.
