Scarlet Street (Public Domain) | Movie Review

This month we're screening Scarlet Street, a 1945 black and white film noir starring Edward G. Robinson and Joan Bennett. Robinson stars as the self-destruction protagonist and Joan Bennett plays the shady beautiful lady. Robinson is Christopher Cross, a middle-aged cashier and an amateur painter, trapped in a loveless marriage. This film is 102 minutes in length and will be shown on the "big screen" in the East Conference Room on the first floor of the library.
