Coronavirus: 'The plane is very empty'- dozens of Britons may be stranded in China

The World Health Organisation says coronavirus constitutes a public health emergency as flight carrying Britons from Wuhan approaches the UK.

A chartered flight carrying 83 Britons has left Wuhan following the coronavirus outbreak - considerably fewer than the 150 passengers that the British government were anticipating.

Not to be insensitive but in a quarantine, why should your nationality matter? Shouldn't everyone be grounded regardless of where they are from.

As I write Thailand is happily accepting planeloads of Chinese tourists .they will mingle with the Brits who will then fly home to the uk

Everyone is freaking out about people spreading this but what about all the factories and goods and food we receive from China in all countries. Is anyone cleaning this stuff before it comes?

These people should be quarantined in China for 14 days and if these people are cleared from nCov 2019, then they can travel home. It is crazy to bring people who could be carriers of this virus to the UK!
