Track 6 from their third album "All Together Now" released in 1972 copyright Epic Records. It was recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London. The band was formed there by Rod Argent, who had been the keyboardist for the sixties psychedelic rock band the Zombies. His goal with a new band was to develop a progressive rock style and most of the songs were co-written by Argent and Chris White, who had been the Zombies' bassist. Lead vocalist and guitarist Russ Ballard contributed two songs. This was their most successful release and the single "Hold Your Head Up" reached No. 5 in the U.K., the U.S. and Canada. The album has received excellent retrospective reviews and reached No. 14 in Canada. Written by Russ Ballard and produced by Chris White & Rod Argent. RIP Jim Rodford. Featuring:

Rod Argent - Lead vocals, Hammond B-3 organ, acoustic & electric pianos & background vocals
Russ Ballard - Lead vocals, lead & rhythm guitars & background vocals, piano on "Tragedy"
Jim Rodford - Bass, rhythm guitars & background vocals
Robert Henrit - Drums & percussion

Joey couldn't stand it so he left to join the band
And really saved his soul
Talkin' to his baby, later playin' the week
His baby couldn't roll

He could make a bad drummer swing
You won't believe it to see
See him doin' his thing
He couldn't leave it alone

See him rock, see him roll
From his heart and his soul
All over from his head to toe
He's a (dynamo)

He could heat your 'frigerator, he could tame an alligator
Baby couldn't move
And his friends start to play, I miss you by the way
You just gotta groove

Smoke risin' high from his screams
It's hard to take it you know
That this cat really swings
And he don't thank you to know

See him rock, see him roll
From his heart to his soul
All over from his head to toe
He's a (dynamo)

He could make a bad drummer swing
You won't believe it to see
See him doin' his thing
He couldn't leave it alone

See him rock, see him roll
From his heart to his soul
All over from his head to toe
(He's a dynamo)

(He could make you laugh, he could make you wanna cry)
(He could even make you fly, fly, fly, fly)

See him rock, see him roll
From his heart to his soul
All over from his head to toe
(He's a dynamo)

He's a (dynamo)
He's a (dynamo)
I'm tellin' you, he's a (dynamo)
(Dynamo)
He's a (dynamo)
He's a (dynamo)
