Paint with Me | Painting from a Photo | Oil Painting Process || Dark Skin Tone

Hello everyone!!!! This video is about my oil painting process where I combine a mixture of speed painting and more of a slow down version of my painting process. A relaxing ASMR, paint with me, chill out and watch me paint type vibes. I used a combination of some acrylic paints and oil paint throughout the duration of this painting. And I am painting on an unprimed wooden panel. The texture of the wooden panel that was primed with professional Liquitex gesso and it made the surface super smooth and nice for oil painting.
Thank you so much for watching and I really hope you enjoyed the video. My painting style is a combination between photorealism and cartoon ish/ drawing style. I paint the same way, I would use color pencils. Very tight painting, not very loose.

Thank you for discussing dark skin tones. I painted a picture of my "friend" who is of a darker hue and it was dark brown but not in a good way. I couldn't get it brown enough it was a chocolate mess. One day he asked me to paint his portrait again and I happened to use a purple and black mixture for his skin, it was just what I needed to use to get a better skin tone. I had taken a few classes in portraiture and the European model and skin tones were shown but never was a chocolate model or skin tones discussed. Beautiful work

I’m a self-taught artist. I started drawing and painting in earnest maybe a year and a half ago. And I am very encouraged by people with skills far beyond my own. Your work is beautiful.

I work in acrylic, charcoal, oil pastels, gouache, watercolor, colored pencils, ink, and whatever else (including digital art), but I’ve only ever done oil paint once, for a tiny landscape painting.
