Mark Miodownik’s 'Stuff Matters' has won the 2014 Royal Society Winton Prize for Science Books. Miodownik, a professor in material science, told the BBC: "I feel honoured, happy and overwhelmed, it does feel dream like to me, these things don't normally happen. When I started, I had no idea how to write."
