Agree. I didn’t start weight training until I was 61 and do it 5 days a week now. Love it.

I was in a funk. I started seeing a therapist. At the same time I joined a Starting Strength gym. I’m not in a funk anymore, I believe adding 5 lbs to the bar 3 times a week improved my outlook. The therapist helped 5-15 percent, and the gym helped 85-95 percent. If you need help, seek help. For me, I am thankful for the program.

I would argue....for longevity and overall cardiovascular health....I would take weight training over moderate intensity cardio every time. However, I don't discount low intensity cardio, i.e. walking as a great form of cardiovascular health as well.

I like the thinking but not the traning styl, feel it better with bodybulding styl of traning, sure train compund like squat on Legday, but use machine for volum work, build some 🦵
