What baffles me about this year’s RR 2.0 is that the NHL is taking forever to reveal and sell them. Like, do they enjoy leaving money on the table or something?

The flames are really just getting as close to the Canucks skate jerseys as they can without out right doing it at this point

For future special edition league wide promotions, I would love to see a 90's throwback Mascot edition line where each team has to make a jersey that incorporates their mascot in some fashion. Some would be able to simply pull an old design out of the closet (Ducks), some would have to look a little further down the rabbit hole (Jets could bring back the original Moose logo with some modifications), and some would have to create brand new from scratch designs (Toronto and the Habs for example). I think it would be a really creative way to get teams to think outside the box!

I'm looking forward to that Johnny Canuck jersey. It's the first time a Canucks' logo has made sense. When someone asks, "What's a Canuck?" there's never been an answer besides, "It's just a slang term for Canadian." At least now, there's a cartoon character named Johnny Canuck on the front of the jersey with some history and a story to tell behind it.

I like the fan jerseys. They’re some people who can make good concepts. NHL can choose like 50-100 people who do make jerseys and then the fans can vote to a list of like 8. Then a bracket voting and last 4 have a chance based off management. Plus the publicity of making a jersey is great and bragging rights.

I'll assume they're waiting on revealing and preorders because the 1st RR sold out like crazy. Trying to find a Kings jersey for under $300+ after the run was impossible.

I'm assuming they're manufacturing more and had to push the reveal date because of it.

Really disappointed Montreal isn’t going for a Maroons throwback. I’ve seen concept art for a Habs jersey in Maroons colours and it is absolutely beautiful

With regards to the Leafs adding grey to their RRs, they had silver on their shoulder patches and in the number trim on the 90s and 00s jerseys. Its a very tangential connection, but its there.

I think we need a Reverse Retro 3.0 with jerseys representing the team mascots in some way. It would be amazing!

There are rumblings Toronto is going to bring back the TML alternate logo that was introduced in 2000, and use it as the main logo, and the letters and numbers that was introduced in 1997, the year Mats Sundin became captain. The base color of their reverse retro jersey is also suggested to be silver.

I heard from an anonymous source that someone "high up" on the St. Louis Blues design team showed Doug Armstrong a new version of that jersey with the trumpets they never wore on the ice and when he said no the designer went "what are ya, a chicken?" Nothing has come out about Armstrong's response yet.
