I have my brother in laws 2003 Heritage Softail to service. Its been stored in a barn since 2009. (he had a serious quad accident leaving him paralysed from neck) I've been cleaning the bike up first but my next step was oil changes altho i dont want to try starting the bike with 12yr old oil and was going to do an oil change first, change battery and turn the bike over by hand with spark plugs removed to make sure nothing has seized. Will put a tiny spot of oil in the spark plug holes beforehand. Your vid on the oil change simplified the procedure greatly for me. I had no idea there were 3 oil drains on the bike till i watched this. Many many thanks for your vids.

Hi. New sub from Ireland. I just bought my first Harley Davidson. It's a 2010 FLSTC. It needs a bit of TLC. I am looking at servicing it myself. I am a retired Mechanical and Electronics Engineer and I got nothing but time on my hands. I found your video very helpful and cant wait get my hands dirty, but first I need to download the Service Manual and then sort out my tool chest to separate all the Imperial and Metric tools into different drawers :-)

great video. Just to add, there is now a half funnel that is made for removing the oil filter and allows the oil to drain into a catch pan instead of hitting the frame/engine. Mine has a hole and a rubber tube to direct it to the pan.
