Do I feel super out-of-touch - No wonder I had made reference to Led Zeppelin!! Well, hang on gang, this is a BOOM track!💥

Them Crooked Vultures consists of:
Josh Homme - Guitars and vocals
David Grolh - Drums
John Paul Jones (yes the one and only from Led Zeppelin) - Bass

You aren't out of touch. I feel like a lot of people slept on this band. I sure hope they get together and do another LP soon.

I swear, not two hours ago I was in the car listening to Them Crooked Vultures and thinking to myself: "I wonder if Geebz has heard this"!

John Paul Jones at 60+ years young when he recorded this with these guys, still ripping harder on bass than peers half his age! Awesome!!!

“Dead End Friends” and “Bandoliers” are two of my faves. Where Josh Homme goes, I follow. And I will always worship the drumming skills of Dave Grohl.

I like that he heard Led Zeppelin influence in a band with a member of Led Zeppelin in the band.

Geebz you should check out all of these guys earlier stuff. The guitarist used to be in a smoking hot desert stoner rock band called Kyuss, a glaring omission from your reaction channel by the way. The drummer had a fleeting gig with Nirvana before staring his own band, and the bassist actually used to play with John Bonham in a band popular back in the 70s.

You seriously need to do more Queens of the Stone Age. I Appear Missing is a song I'd love to see you react to.

Also, if you didn't know, this band includes Josh Homme(lead singer of Queens Of The Stone Age) on the main guitar and singing, John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin on bass and Dave Grohl on drums. UNREAL COMBO. Also Alan Johannes with some extra guitar playing and backing vocals.

Couldn't click on this fast enough!!
😁 ETA: Warsaw, Spinning in Daffodils, Scumbag Blues .... anything off this album is 💥💥💥
Edited again to add there are 2 more songs available which they only did live, one is called Highway 1 and there's this one:
Couldn't begin to imagine
In a BBC interview (I think) they said they had enough material to kick off with a double album!! I so hope we get to hear more of whatever was left off the first.

If you're a fan of Josh Homme's laid back style, you should look up "The Desert Sessions". A collab of several musicians spearheaded by Homme, and you can definitely feel his "desert guitar".

I went straight into polka - its epic! And I loved how you said it was "Zeppelin-y" --- but reading your doobly-doo saying you didn't know who was in the band. That's kinda fun too.

What I love about this channel: in this day and age most people listen to music in the background, while working, driving, etc. (pandemic notwithstanding). Watching your channel makes me take the time and just REALLY listen along with you. It's something I used to do all the time in my teens and 20s and have forgotten and lost that music listening "spark" I used to have. Thanks to you, I'm going through a collection of my Dad's old LPs and 45s and taking time out to just completely dive in.
