This album came out after Kirk had gotten his teachings from Satriani, and you can VERY well tell how much he improved. Like the changes he managed to pull off, the little licks and snippets of well placed Vibrato. Favorite song by Metallica. :D

Not trying to be a jackass man but:

1. the main badass riff that kicks in just after the intro the first 2 notes (the open A and the A sharp, or 0 and 1 on the a string for tab users) are not palm muted, same as when it repeats in the tail of the riff. I usually wouldn't give a shit but its these 2 unmuted notes that give the riff character and you can distinctly hear them in the song.

2. Turn your actual wah pedal off for the bridge before the solo. I think he is using a chorus effect in the song. but its definitely not a wah.

Other than that fucking ace cover. You can play that solo much better than i.

It would be perfect when you wouldn’t use palm mute on the two first notes of the main riff. BUT! You found a great sound, and the technique is very good ! Keep it up!
