About Deal Or No Deal: On the hit game show "Deal or No Deal," contestants play and deal for a top prize of $1 million. Good thing Rick Harrison from Pawn Stars isn't the banker, because if the last two numbers were 750, 000 and 1 million, he'd say

I auditioned for Deal or no Deal once. There was a small group of about 6 of us and a producer from the show itself. They ask you a series of questions like what you would do with the million dollars if you won and why you want to be on the show and what made you decide to audition. We never got to meet Howie Mandel or any of the suitcase models.

If the producer likes what they see they call you back to go to their TV studio for a 2nd audition and from there you get to meet Howie and the Models. Unfortunately I was never selected for round 2 of auditions. It seems to help if you are in the Military or a College student. Those people get jumped to the front of the list and almost always get selected to be on the show.

Counterdealing for 500, 000 was super smart because if the banker declined then there was a 2/3 chance to get rid of the 100 and then the banker would have offered a deal of about 700, 000. If she accidentally get rid of the 400, 000 then there would still be 1, 000, 000 and so the banker would offer roughly about 500, 000 anyways. There was also less of a chance to get rid of the 1, 000, 000.
