Living on a small country farm it is always fun to go feed up. Today I brought Goldie our golden palomino horse a special treat, it is her favorite, Watermelon! Goldie, Big Bob the bull, Jr the other bull, the heifers, cows and calves always look forward to their sweet feed. What an entertaining herd these Black Angus and horse are. We love raising our herd of cows not only for entertainment but also for beef. They make great hamburgers. We love growing our own vegetables as well in our organic garden with raised garden beds. We also just harvested a lot of honey this year from our bee hives. Homesteading is a lot of work but we enjoy the peace and serenity of country living. And we love the fun times that these farm animals bring us.
