Will the Broken Killing Stone Bring Disaster? #Shorts

●More information about Tochigi prefecture where the Killing Stone is
On the afternoon of March 5th 2022, a national historic site in Tochigi Prefecture, “殺生石 Sessho-seki (Killing Stone),” was found split in half. The stone already had some small cracks and may have broken due to water that had seeped into the stone freezing.
Wait, why is this such a big deal?
In legends, this stone is said to be the transformed shape of a nine-tailed fox yokai that was killed about 1,000 years ago. The yokai disguised itself as a beautiful woman and attempted to kill the Emperor, but a talented Onmyoji (yin-yang master) revealed its true identity and it was eventually vanquished by a master archer.
Even after it turned into a stone however, it continued to emit a terrifying miasma that killed any plants or animals that came near it. It is rumored that the cracking of such a terrifying stone unleashed the fox to do evil again.
But I’m not that worried…
To begin with this legend was written a few centuries after the event, and neither the beautiful woman (disguised as a fox) nor the Onmyoji (yin-yang master) who appears in the story actually exist.
Also, animals and plants that approach the killing stone die because it is placed in a hot spring area, where there is constant eruption of toxic volcanic gas.
