The fact that we all categorize colors differently is so interesting to me. A lot of those in the purple category were more pinky in my eyes, i've heard purple is a really hard color to make. It's crazy how different colors look swatched out and swatched next to each other, their undertones really shine next to a contrasting understone.

Colors look different next to other colors - it's one of the first things we learn in color theory (which is a super cool subject, I recommend that every makeup lover learns a bit about it!), so it's completely understandable that a yellow color in isolation starts to look orange/brown next to other brighter colors. I find it really cool seeing the colors next to eachother, and how a color is never as simple as it looks. This was a cool video!

I was tempted to do this when I watched part 1 but now I'm really tempted! I just have sooo many more pans of shadow than you do. Currently I am making it a mission to use every single one of the eyeshadows in my collection at least once by the end of the year, I am ranking each shade I use with a 🙂😑☹ then I will do a declutter at the end of the year. After that, I am thinking I will do this so that I can have a "catalog" of what every shade looks like swatched. Great video!!!! You could also do this with lip products or maybe even bronzers and blushes.

Every matte that wowed me in this video was from the Profusion Spectrum palette. I know how close that palette was to being decluttered by you so I'm torn on whether I want it or not. 😅😅😅

I don't know why you didn't just combine the orange and peach shadows. You have so few oranges and peach is basically pink-orange.
