If the Cubs keep this up and win a couple more games and have a record over 500 they have a chance to make the playoffs

But One thing I know after the season is that we need to release Kyle Hendricks he’s getting up there in age and he’s just been really bad

The Cubs are three games below 500. With 45 games remaining, the Cubs have 12 games with teams (Yankees, Phillies, Guardians, and Dodgers -all division leaders) above 500 and 33 games with subpar 500 teams. In order for the Cubs to have a realistic chance of making the playoff, they have to win at lease five games against these divisional leaders and feast on teams like Rockies, As, Blue Jays, White Sox and Marlins. Altogether the Cubs will play 14 games against these divisional dwellers and have to win at least 10 games. With the remaining 19 games against the sub par 500 teams (Pirates, Tigers, Reds, Nationals) they have to be 12-7. All in all, the Cubs need to be 27-18 from now on to the end of the regular season.

1m51 perfect throw from PCA 2nd cut off man way to far out. 1st cut off man not even close to be seen or thrown too. Had the runner coming around 3rd easy. Throw was right near the 2nd base bag. The 2nd cut off man blew that great play being out to far. 1 run gifted.

It's great we're winning but both the Cardinals and the Twins seemed lifeless. Really weird. What happens when we play a good team playing like a good team? Well we won't find out with the Sox. But Cubs need to thrive against *talent*. Got to be aggressive hitters and make things happen. But I'd like to take a moment and appreciate that we went from having the worst BP in baseball to having one of the best. That is badass. That along with out excellent starting rotation and it would be reasonable to believe at this point. But our hitters have *got* to be making contact and getting balls in play every at bat. No more passive at bats.
