I didn't know about the black uniform version of Lady Jaye. I've always been a Tom Boy, so my brother and I both collected G.I. Joe, and now I buy them for my boys.

Thanks for the awesome review Byron! Lady Jaye is honestly one of those figures I wish I had as a kid! I had Scarlett, and she was awesome, but Lady Jaye was just the bees knees man! Flint was my all time favorite for the longest time because he as just so cool with his black short, shotgun, camo pants and beret! Yeah, I wore a driving cap sideways forever trying to be as cool as him. I failed miserably, but I tried! Lady Jaye was cool too because of how functional she was in the cartoon to me! Javelins?!? She was basically Hawkeye with spears! Trick javelin to get her out of almost any predicament! Come to think of it, if they gave her an atlatl, that would be just as if not cooler! That foot on the all black outfit Lady Jaye really bothers me FOR you! Maybe you could soften the plastic in some boiling water and straighten it out? Her body sculpt could have been a good base for a female troop builder! There was zero reason that wouldn't have worked! Throw a Steel Brigade helmet on her, and there ya go! Mail away "Build a Jane" figures! I believe there was some legal thing with why none of the female figures came with guns back then. Either Bryan or Kevin covered it in their review of LJ. Also, it's a little funny how she kind of towers over most of the other Joe's too! LOL! Those necks are pretty cool, but Fisher Price Adventure People had them beat to the punch a while before the Joe's shrunk down to 3 3/4" if I'm not mistaken there too! Would've been kinda cool if we got re-re leases of the 82-84 line up with the new neck styles! Actually, think it would be 85 too, because the Dreadnoks had swivel heads and not ball joint necks too! Thank you so much for sharing all this stuff! Really takes me back and helps me kind of break away from real life for a minute! Things can get rough, and this kind of stuff from folks I am proud to call friends is just what I need to brighten up my day! I'll be hitting up that Gofundme page for your mom here soon too! I'm getting a handle on a bill that has been vexing me since 2000, and I'm celebrating by helping a friend!
