MJX R/C Bugs 5W vs Bugs 2SE GPS, 5G WiFi FPV, 1080p HD camera

Two awesome Bugs quads but which one is best IMHO. Run through of the facts as I see them after flying both quads and a final on which one I prefer.

I really enjoy these comments. I have been with MJX for 4 years now and am also an avid pilot and Drone enthusiast. With that said I can tell you that both of these drones are fantastic but there are differences other than the camera and visual presence. The bugs 5w is a bit faster maybe just due to profile/wind resistance. I have bought and sold hundreds of drones and am a consultant for businesses that use them in So Cal and I fly these things everyday! This is my opinion but
" There are no better drones for the money". My Bugs 2se cost me $90 and it easily will fly for 15 mins and has a range of 1km/ over 1/2 mile which is a bit more than the more pricey Bugs 5w. The Bugs 5w has a separate adjustable cam that mounts underneath while the 2se is built into front/nose.. So keep in mind you can buy Six or seven of these drones for the cost of one DJI mavic/phantom or go pro Karma. The big difference is batteries.Two batteries in the longer range drones like mavic and Karma. There are some other differences but not enough to justify paying 7 to 10x as much money. Unless you are a professional or using this drone to earn a living then buy the MJX! & You will be amazed! You will be impressed how fast & capable the bugs 2se ($100) & 5w ($170) both are for that price.

Good comparison. They are both very good GPS quads but I'm still attached to the original Bugs 2C just because it is simple (a bit like me)

Both are great drones. However apart from the tilting camera on the Bugs 5W, that's where it ends. The Bugs 2SE is far quieter and is probably the quietest drone you can buy. Also the 2SE can fly twice the distance of the 5W. The batteries are not identical and are not inter changeable. Both are fantastic entry level drones.

The draw back with both quads is of course they utilise 5g WiFi technology, not a usual option with handsets available here in the UK. I am at the moment working on converting the transmission protocol to 5.8g for a bit of fun! I’ll let you know how I get on! Good honest film as usual.(Watch out for the MJX rival to the Hubsan Zino and Xiaomi Fimi coming soon)

I bought a C6000 camera. I want to operate the C6000 camera alone. I need an alternative application. Its application works as a drone + C6000. This is not working for me. I want to use it in rc car and want app advice for it. Just let the camera work. Thank you.

I agree all things equal the 5w is better with its tiltable/removable camera. However, I prefer the b2w over the 5w and b2se because of greater range and longer time before annoying LVC beeping. Also better video.

Can’t find any info on the 5w, , , it’s a1500 kv motor, , i do have a1800 kv from the bugs 3, , , can the 1800 kv be used in the 5w? Will it affect the 5w if I install the 1800 along with the 1500 already in the 5w..love your videos..thank for all your

Okay, I have both, so at least I have parts (except props) for whichever craps out first, lol, the only exception is I had to buy mine. But my friends that ask, I recommend the 5W, & none of them have tried to burn my house yet

i am still undecided of what Bugs to buy first :) what i would like to see is a Comparison of the Bugs 5w vs the SJRC F11to see how they compare know the F11 has longer flying time, but would like to see what @Tigger may think of this comparison.

Bugs 5 is height-limited to 100M or something, or so I heard. Bugs 2 has no limit.

I like the Bugs 5W ... but being 5G Wifi make it a big 'No-No' for me as my Android phone (which I like very much) is on 2.4G :(
