When I was Muslim I genuinely believed that it‘s impossible to leave Islam and still be a good person because I had the exact view of Ex Muslims that are prevalent in the Ummah. I‘m so glad I left this black and white thinking behind me.

If you can't force someone into Islam, why is it that as Muslim parents you are required to teach your children how to make Salaat and then after a certain age, if they don't you are required to beat them.
That IS forcing children to practice Islam.
Just like beating children, teaching children that if they don't believe or behave in a certain way that they will be tormented in hell is child abuse.

As someone raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints I cannot express how much of a boogy man the term Anti-Mormon was.
We were taught from birth that anyone who left the LDS church would almost always leave because of bitterness or sin. And that they would invariably turn to attacking the church.
Any literature that criticizes the church, no mater how measured and based in fact, is anti-mormon.
I cannot express what a thought stopper the term is.
Given the threats of violence that can come from more extreme adherents of the Muslim faith I can only imagine how much more challenging listening to alternate voices to Islam is.

That woman shouldn't be allowed to practice as a psychologist. What if she tells someone to cut off their ex-muslim friend or family member because they don't believe in her religion? That would be discrimination, cruel, unethical and unprofessional.

many former Muslims cannot raise our voices without experiencing some form of consequences. Thank you for being our voice. It's really a shame to see how some channels demonise and dehumanise us. Thank you for standing up for us! Thank you for advocating for the right thing without demonising or dehumanising Muslims. As Aladdin said, Muslims are not bad people. We were also Muslims once. They only try to defend their identity (religion) even if the ways are not the best

My mother who is a pretty intense catolic, saying outrageous things, has a bachelor in medicine, a bachelor in philosophy and a bachelor in theology.
As much as conservatives want to say "schools are brainwashing kids", education is no match against blind faith.

I just stumbled on this channel, and i gotta say as african was born into a muslim/Christian family. I was kicked out of my home at twice at 18 for being gay and atheist. I grew up seeing the hypocrisy of religion as a whole and often times it is driven by people who often times love control and cant have there own worldview challenged! Im so happy to see spaces like this and discussions that finally puts the critical spolitlight on islam.

People were just arguing that its wrong because the father and the brother should not punish her themselves and they should let the government do that
