I've been to Mesa Verde and all the ruins in the area from the Anasazi Indians. I'm fascinated by their building and the culture they left behind. The river house is so cool.

Visited Mesa Verde many times over the years (1950 to the present) and owned property in Mancos CO about 3 miles as the crow flies from Mesa Verde. It is one of my favorite places on earth!

hey, Katrina! good, interesting post. most of the disappearing people probably just moved to somewhere else, due to drouth, soil depletion, over hunting, flooding, warfare, religous persecution, or other possible reasons. now, some folks move just because. who knows? one good thing came from these emigrations. they left cool ruins for us to wonder at and speculate about and for Katrina to narrate videos about. YAY!!! til next time, Kat! BYE!!

Awesome videos except the part about the ancient Pueblo people disappearing into Mexico. Pretty sure they split into the Hopi and the modern Pueblos in the Rio Grande Valley in New Mexico, well north of the Mexican border. Just saying since that is their oral history and nobody seems to acknowledge it. Everyone always says they disappeared when they’re all still living cultures through the Pueblos and Hopi. It’s an identical society as Mesa verde or even farther north on the Colorado Plateau. There is absolutely no evidence that they disappeared or migrated further than the southern pueblos like Zuni.

Why would Jesus destroy a city who rejected him? Why wouldn't he just walk away...turn the other cheek...as he preached.

I think Jesus walked away from the village after being rejected and shook the dust of it off his feet! Not a curse but a definite comment about the a**holes who would not listen!

They probably killed the mammoths for food and clothing and since they didnt have anywhere else to store the bones they just put them there, but I wouldn’t know
