I cruise street everyday and hit different skateparks 2/3 times a week. I only started skating at lockdown (6mths), and after taking repeated slams, never ever thought I would do drop-ins, or even run a line from one side of a park to the other. But I did, with determination, dedication, discipline, and more importantly the love of skating a board. Practice doesn't mean that you will always succeed, but without it you never will. I'm 58 in a few months.

Learn something new everyday, even if it’s just rolling off a curb you’ve never done before. Also, skate with people who are better than you and/or will push you. Don’t get comfortable, keep moving forward. Cruise around your city with no limitations on where you’re going...it will force you to adapt to different obstacles and get you more comfortable on your board.

As a competitive swimmer, swimming is pretty hard. It’s very draining and it takes lots of dedication to get good, that said skateboarding is probably harder.

Never skip skate day. I always feel like something's missing if I don't skate for a day. No matter how tired I am at work, I'll never be tired to go skate after work. I feel so free on my skateboard.

I started skating 3 months ago and I already land: ollies, fs 180, bs 180, pop shove it, nose shove it, kickflip, halfcab, nose stall, rock and fakie and rock and roll.
All my progress comes by going to skateparks, meeting new people and having fun !! Just focus on yourselves and do your best to land new tricks.
Never forget to keep skating 🤜🏼 !!!

I started back skating 2 months ago. I practice 3-4 times a week. I can drop in, revert, Ollie, shove, grind quarter ramp, & just landed kick flip

i used to only skate 1-2 a week because I was busy a lot and had a really shitty old board, and I felt like I was frozen in my progression. I started skating every morning before school even if it’s just riding the board for 20 minutes. I’ve found that skating every day even if you’re not trying new tricks allows you to progress MUCH faster than if you do a really hard session once a week. You have to keep the muscle memory fresh in your mind

I‘ve been skating pretty much daily, but sadly I got back pain from it. I needed to take a break until my back recovered, which took me longer than a week and a half. It was awful.

To anyone that has the same problem, I kind of worked against it with keeping the spot warm with patches and stuff and to know when to stop skating for the day.
Most of the time I don‘t want to stop, but I rather skate a little less than a whole week with intense pain, eventhough progressing and learning new stuff becomes an addiction lol.
