I've still got 5 min to watch but this video is very helpful, I hope these Q&As become a regular series on this channel.

After some more exploration i gave up. Guess the biggest issue with the altered scale and it's use as a melodic tool is lack of perfect fifth, and also the clashing of lower, diminished-sounding tetrachord and the upper, augmented tetrachord. Thank you for the input anyways!

I have two questions:

1) How do you visualize different connections on the guitar. Let's take an example - you try to work some lines on dominant > tonic. For the dom you use, say, something around a Maj7 arpeggio built on b7 and resolve to tonic (FM7 - C line). Next, take the same line, but from a brothers & sisters perspective (BM7 - C and AbM7 - C). Of course, you need to adjust the connection to the tonic accordingly. But how in the world would you visualize this on the fretboard for easy access?
2) What kind of cleaning product are you using for the headstock? It looks really nice :)

Beauty is only skin deep, but ugliness goes to the bone.

Derek Bailey... How any of that be familiar escapes me. I can’t believe it’s even familiar to him (which perhaps is the point).

To me it’s just another part of the palette, giving more flavours/textures/moods to use in order to tell a story. I know sod all about jazz though, but I won’t let that stop me enjoying it.
