About Claire Casey
Claire founded and heads FP Analytics, the research and analytics division of the FP Group, publisher of Foreign Policy Magazine. Claire oversees all global research and analysis, serving clients and running projects on five continents. She counsels clients on current and prospective market, policy, and security developments with a focus on emerging trends, scenario planning, strategic foresight, and translating analytical insights into actionable intelligence. Prior to joining FP, she was Managing Director at Garten Rothkopf, an international advisory firm that she joined at its inception in 2005. She writes regularly on energy, economic and security issues, including for the Financial Times, International Economy, Americas Quarterly, the Daily Beast, and Foreign Policy. Claire started her career in corporate finance for a multinational corporation, followed by a stint in democratic development in Latin America. Claire holds a master’s degree in international relations and international economics from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and a bachelor’s degree in international politics and economics from Middlebury College.
