When you are married with combined finances, it is a good idea to have a monthly allowance for each person. That way one person can spend their monthly allowance how they want to without judgement.

I'm going to save you the time of watching. If you are dating(living together) or married..there should ALWAYS be (3) accounts. Your personal account, her personal account and a house account. It will save you all the headache. You and her can do what you want with your money as long as the house account covers ALL living expenses...problem solved!!

My wife cannot handle money at all....that's why she gets an allowance on a monthly basis and I handle the investing etc.
No join account!!!!
This is the only way to retire without any fear.

To avoid problems, finances should be kept separate. Only Join when mutual purchases are needed and living expenses like bills. Disposable money should be kept separate.
