The JLU Rubicon starts at $43K. If the Gladiator has a $3000 - $5000 premium, I think I might pull the trigger. But I'm not paying $60K when MSRP for a Raptor SuperCrew starts at $57300. God forbid Ford pulls their heads out of their asses and starts offering a Ranger Raptor in the US.

That said, I own a modified JLU Sport S (3.5" lift and all the goodies). I might consider a Gladiator Rubicon if I can stay near $50K for the 3.0. Not sure if I can spend the coin on the diesel. Maybe I get a Sport S diesel and mod it.

I think it looks better with the hard top. Without it, the truck looks ridiculously long. With it, it kind of breaks it up visually and make it's look more of a normal length. That said, Jeep removed a lot of headroom in the new Wrangler to the point that I can't even sit in one with the seat lowered all the way. So as much as like this truck, none for me.

It is too long. I bet that if jeep designed this from the ground up the rear seating would’ve been a little smaller and the whole wheelbase would’ve been shorter. It’s a mishmash of two vehicles. It needs at least a 2 inch lift with 35‘s and the hard top put back on to increase its vertical presence relative to its horizontal one.
