Final Fantasy IX: Memoria Project - Welcome to Alexandria

Earlier this year, we shared an early screenshot of our ambitious #FinalFantasyIX fan project with the world, and as a result, our team was able to grow from 2 to 28 people. And now, I'm excited to share the first teaser trailer. Welcome to the world of #MemoriaProject!

This was rendered entirely in real-time in Unreal Engine 5.

Everyone I know who played FF9 want a remake that keeps the stylized look but with just upped visuals to better see things and appreciate how beautiful it was for the time. This project looks absolutely amazing and I can't wait to see what you'll all do next!

FF9 is where my love for RPG's all began. Huge part of my childhood. Recently played a visually upgraded version with the Moguri Mod and another Mod that made Beatrix a permanent party member. Loved it. This, of course, is on a completely different level. It's gorgeous! And I can't wait to experience the completed product. Keep up the great work!

It's an incredibly valuable idea to preserve all the amazing artistic works that were done by Square's old generation. There's so much aesthetic ideas in these finely-crafted games that it would be a great shame to see them forgotten. For example, simply in terms of architecture, FFXII has been one of my references -- the modern-steampunk-yet ornate architecture of cities is a wonderful inspiration.
I'm am rejoiced by your project, even if I never played FFIX. Amazing work guys!

I am grateful that a team of people like you all exist! This is absolutely, jaw-droppingly beautiful! You fill my heart as FFIX is my favorite nostalgic game from my childhood and I still think about this universe and play this game now on my smart phone, from time to time, at 31 years old. Bravo, y'all! If you do any crowdfunding campaigns, I would love to make donations to see this through!
