Used a nail half way in most my life at the end. Pound it in and pull 7 inches. Those gage are alright but over time the move sideways when you slide the siding over them. Amazing when you use it for peaks when alone 100%

If anyone sees this dont waste your time. Go buy the malco totally adjustable to whatever thickness you want and depth of siding.

You only get one thickness per set of geckos and theyll cost you more for plastic
