I am a Giant fan, but the top 2 sack seasons were Deacon Jones who had 25 in a 14 game season in 1967 and Harvey Martin in 1977 who had 23 in a 14 game season. I've heard old NFL films quotes that Doug Atkins had 31 in 1963 in a 14 game season for the Bears and Gino Marchetti had 29 for the Colts in 1958 in a 12 game season.

I was always disappointed with Michael. He never showed up in the big game. Just like JJ Watt. Hed have a great year, get all these sacks and then the one game we needed to win to make the playoffs wouldnt show up. That was tough for me having grown up watching LT always finding a way to impact a game especially when it mattered most. Michael had a great career though.
