The reason army, air force, navy recruiys don't get yelled at is because they get treated like adults because they are adults, they still instil discipline into the recruits, jusy in different ways. Marines get yelled at because they don't get treated like humans, they get treated like dirt, their is a difference.

Norfolk MA2 Mayo. POOW was disarmed, MA2 attempted to intervene. He sacrificed himself to say others. Other responding security forces engaged the shooter. It’s no joke.

Something a lot of people in the comments dont realize is that the entire reason the RDCs are being quiet and gentle is because of the cameras. Big Navy thinks not showing the hard parts are gonna get more recruits in, and that if they were there to film the actual experience it would be deterring to anyone interested in the Navy

I was there in 2012. We were beat everyday to the point we were slipping in our own sweat. There were no stress cards either we could pull like there is now apparently. They were not soft on us, but I miss my RDCs to this day.
