Hello All! May be it will be helpful for Nikon 7zii owners. I had problem "Lens initialization failed" during the first attachment of 24-200 Nikkor Z Lens to camera. It was solved when I turn camera on with the lens adjusted to the maximum focal length - 200 мм. It was my second lens of this type. The first has defect of small plastic ring with Nikkor name at the front of the lens - the ring was not fixed correctly - it jumps out - I exchanged it. The first lens also has initialization error - but it was gone by turn camera off and on as suggested.

I love the Mirror less body but when it comes to high mp sensors, I prefer the D850 shape

Nikon colours is the only thing keeping me a nikon fan. Fingers crossed, the af is on par with the "others" available at this price point

After so many years feel bad having purchased an expensive camera and find out that Nikon has made no effort to upgrade the software and improve it
A powerful hardware and expensive camera whose value has fallen so badly as there are no buyers today . Z6ii sells better . I hope and pray the Nikon engineers give it a “punch” firmware update to keep camera up to date in 2024
