2022 Kia Rio EX Review

The subcompact car segment is all but dead, more so than minivans even. As only one of three models remaining for sale in Canada, the Kia Rio is wonderful in every respect save perhaps for the intelligent variable transmission. Regardless, it's still good fun to drive and affordable.

I waited just a bit longer and bought a 2023 Rio EX Premium for the wife. I was surprised to see Kia brought back larger wheels for 2023. 205/45 r17 rather than the 15's in previous years.

Not sure what gas your using or how your driving. I get 4.5 to 6 per 100 km find the gas is great

I don't like that cars keep getting bigger and bigger either. I wish I could get something like a Rio with more power and an independent suspension

I disagree on the gas . In the summer I have gotten 4.5 to 5.5 great gas mileage . I own one ex premium. Tip use petro Canada gas it lasts the longest . Avoid wasp gas as for some reason it drinks it. I had a 2018 forte and
This rio . Better and more comfortable ride.
Could use more horse power, but all in all a great little car
