The Carina Nebula is a massive cloud of gas, dust, and young stars located in the constellation Carina, 7,500 light years from Earth. It is one of the largest and most active star-forming regions in our Milky Way galaxy and is home to some of the most massive and luminous stars in the universe. Although it is some four times as large and even brighter than the famous Orion Nebula, the Carina Nebula is much less well known, due to its location in the southern sky. It was discovered by Nicolas Louis de Lacaille in 1751–52 from the Cape of Good Hope.

In this video, we'll explore the fascinating features of the Carina Nebula. From its intricate patterns of dust and gas to the bright and glowing stars that are born within it, the Carina Nebula is an awe-inspiring cradle of star formation.
